You can explore the natural surroundings along marked paths (around the lake: 8 km), or follow small country roads on the trail of the Romans, Santiago de Compostela and, of course, d’Artagnon. The Gascon countryside abounds with sights to be seen – fortified towns, castles and typical villages, stone washhouses (lavoirs), windmills and pigeon-houses. When you are ready for a break, you will be able to sit back and enjoy the Gers gastronomy, and introduce your palette to Armagnac, Pousserapière, Floc de Gascogne and other wonderful wines of the area. Another nearby attraction is the city of Toulouse – home to architectural and historical sites such as Capitole, the Saint Sernin basilica, the Couvent des Jacobins… and sites of aerospace interest, such as Airbus Industrie, the Cité de l\'Espace and “Aéro Constellation”, the new A380 assembly facility.
